Notice to All Irrigators – July 18, 2023
The St. Mary River Irrigation District water allocation for the 2023 water season continues at 14” of water per acre, at the farm gate. This is supported by the latest Irrigation Water Supply Forecast prepared by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation, which monitors snow pack, precipitation and reservoir storage.
The allocation will continue to be monitored depending on precipitation events.
We understand that some irrigators may not need their full 14” allocation for certain crops they are growing this water season. If you are interested in selling some of your unused allocation, please contact the Lethbridge main office at 403 328 4401 and we will publish your contact details and available water for sale on our website to help connect you with irrigators who are interested in purchasing additional allocation this season.
