Water Flow Travel Time
The SMRID proudly delivers water to over 2,000 irrigators on over 518,000 acres.
Almost 500,000 ac-ft of water is diverted annually, through 2,500 kilometers of canals and pipeline.
By balancing ever-changing supply and demand throughout the District, SMRID staff ensure that water is delivered to the fields and communities that need it.
When ordering water, it is important for Irrigators to know their Water Coordinator and land location(s), remember to order on/off, and understand the water travel time to their area. See Reservoirs and Timing Maps for more information.
