2024 Water Allocation
Dear Irrigators,
At the April 3, 2024 Annual General Meeting, the St. Mary River Irrigation District Board of Directors has set the water allocation for the 2024 year at 8 inches of water per acre at the farm gate.
We will continue to review the Irrigation Water Supply Forecast supplied by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation and provide updates throughout the irrigation season.
At this time, we are anticipating starting the irrigation season in the second week of May 2024, subject to weather conditions. We will confirm the start-up date as we get closer to the start of irrigation season.
