Seasonal General Maintenance Worker – 1 Position Available – Bow Island Shop
St Mary River Irrigation District requires a general maintenance worker with construction and/or maintenance experience
This is a full-time seasonal position. Duties may include:
- working on various construction and maintenance projects relating to irrigation pipe and canal infrastructure,
- laboring or operating various equipment depending on the project,
- mowing with tractor and wing mowers along canal banks and around infrastructure,
- maintenance of various equipment and vehicles both in the field and shop settings,
- assisting staff with water delivery duties and maintenance.
Multiple years of mechanical and equipment operation knowledge is an asset.*
Knowledge and skills relating to irrigation construction, tractor, excavator, skid steer and other equipment experience, class 3-5 operators license as well as experience with installing, operating and maintaining canals & buried pipeline systems would be an asset.
