Seasonal General Maintenance Worker – 1 Position Available – Bow Island Shop
St Mary River Irrigation District requires a skilled general maintenance worker with 10+ years of experience.
This is a full-time seasonal position. Duties may include:
- working on various construction and maintenance projects relating to irrigation pipe and canal infrastructure,
- laboring or operating various equipment depending on the project,
- mowing with tractor and wing mowers along canal banks and around infrastructure,
- maintenance of various equipment and vehicles both in the field and shop settings,
- assisting staff with water delivery duties and maintenance. Multiple years of mechanical and equipment operation knowledge is an asset.
Knowledge and skills relating to irrigation construction, tractor, excavator, skid steer and other equipment experience, class 3-5 operators license as well as experience with installing, operating and maintaining canals & buried pipeline systems would be an asset.
