Accounts Payable Technician

One Full-time Position

We are growing and seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable processes and possess strong data entry skills. Salary will be commensurate with education and related experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 with intermediate excel skills, SAGE 300 (AccPac) and/or equivalent accounting software
  • Solid understanding and ability to work within the complete accounting cycle
  • Must possess strong accounting technical knowledge
  • Proficient with online invoice payment software
  • Knowledge of M-Files document management platform considered an asset

Job Requirements

  • Support the Assistant Finance & Administration Manager with accounting duties including:
    • Provide data for monthly reports Preparation of Bank reconciliations
    • Preparation and input of month-end Journal Entries
    • Assist with any other accounting duties as required i.e. Year-end, and quarterly reporting
    • Inventory tracking
    • Insurance administration of claims, payments, annual policy renewal documents
  • All aspects of Accounts Payable including:
    • Preparation of AP documentation
    • Ensuring the accuracy of submitted invoices and purchase orders
    • Ensuring timely computation and remittance of GST and property taxes

    • 8-hour shift
    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Weekend availability
