Notice to All Irrigators

Firstly, we would like to thank all irrigators for their understanding and cooperation during this challenging irrigation season. The reservoirs included in St. Mary Project have done their job during this drought season. We will be harvesting excellent crops with very little rainfall this year within the SMRID.
The Board of Directors has determined based on our current water supply that the irrigation season will end on September 22, 2023. It is anticipated that irrigators will be able to use the remainder of their 13 inch allocation up until such date. The Board reserves the right to revisit this date in the case of exceptional circumstances.
To enable us to keep the irrigation season open until September 22, we will operate with reduced flow rates in our canals and we ask you to please work closely with your Water Coordinator and adhere to all ordering procedures.
We encourage all irrigators, livestock producers and domestic water users to begin filling their dugouts.
